Southern Clay Co. – Just before 10pm Saturday the Clay County Sheriff’ Office received a report of a fireworks injury in southern Clay County. When they arrived the found that 41-year-old Brandon Hamilton had died from injuries sustained when he was attempting to light a motar type firework when it unexpectedly went off striking him. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The Clay County coroners office announced that an autopsy is scheduled for later today. The Indiana State Police and the Jasonville Police Department assisted at the scene.
