Vigo County, In. The Indiana Department of Transportation will begin construction to upgrade the traffic pattern along US 41 just a little over a half mile south of I-70 at Dixie Bee in front of Chick-Fil-A and the Action Dragway in the spring of 2026. INDOT says the changes need to be made because of the number of accidents in the area and because the intersection is not in compliance with the current INDOT Access Management Guide. This specific area is one of Vigo County’s highest rated crash sites. The project will be done in two phases each lasting about 30 days. Traffic on US 41 may face some restrictions during the construction but US 41 will remain open.
