Hot Weather Hangs Around

Statewide – This stretch of hot and humid weather will continue across Indiana the first part of this week, with only occasional chances for rain and little relief from the high heat index values.

A weak front stalled out across the Midwest is sparking scattered showers and storms. Most of central and southern Indiana will stay dry through much of the day. A few isolated storms may develop in the afternoon, but coverage will be limited.

Today and tomorrow could bring the hottest conditions so far this season, with highs in the mid-90s and heat index values nearing 110. Like the weekend, both days could feature isolated afternoon storms, but most areas will stay dry.
