Clay County Traffic Stops Results in Drug Bust

Clay County, In. – Around 1:40 am Wednesday a Clay County Sheriff Deputy stopped a van for seeding in State Road 159. When the deputy made contact with the driver he showed signs of impairment. A impaired driver investigation showed that he was during the investigation the driver refused a chemical test. The driver was identified as 57-year-old George Virostko of Jasonville. A search of the vehicle around 28 grams of methamphetamine, along with a scale and smoking devices, was located. Virostko was arrested and booked into the Clay County Jail. He is facing charges of dealing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of paraphernalia along with his previous charge.
