Sullivan County, In. – Around 1 am Thursday morning a Shelburn man shot a man that was trespassing on his property. Authorities say that 30-year-old Ryan Gerhing was reportedly trespassing on private property in Shelburn. Gehing got into a fight with the property owner that ended when the property owner shot Gerhing. Emergency personnel provided medical care before Gerhing was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital where he died. The Indiana State Police are investigating the case. An autopsy is scheduled for Sunday.
