Terre Haute Firefighter Awarded Heroic Life Saving Award

Terre Haute, In. – Terre Haute Firefighter/Paramedic Bram Sanders was awarded the Heroic Life Saving Award Wednesday. On May 16, Sanders rescued the pilot and passenger of a vintage World War II plane after it crashed at Terre Haute Regional Airport. Sanders untangled the pilot from his parachute and extricated him from the plane and performed critical life saving procedures on him. Sanders had been a crew chief on an F-16 with the 181st Fighter Wing when it was based at the airport.
