Duke Energy Foundation Awards Grants To Train Workers

Plainfield, In. – Duke Energy has announced that The Duke Energy Foundation is awarding grants to support innovative workforce training programs in the Wabash Valley. These grants go to prepare individuals with the skills to thrive in the state’s fastest-growing industries, such as the energy, manufacturing, and technology fields. The Greater Terre Haute Area Chamber of Commerce will receive $5,000. Rose Hulman was awarded $20,000. $12,000 goes to the Western Indiana Workforce Investment Board in Vigo County. $10,000 goes to the Southwest School Corporation in Sullivan County. The Vincennes Community School Corporation in Knox County was awarded $11,500 and The Vincennes University Foundation was awarded $11,500
