Sullivan, In. – The Sullivan County Sheriff asked the Indiana State Police to investigate the death of an inmate who was found unresponsive in his cell Thursday. The State Police identified the man as 37-year-old Brandon Houser. When jail officers found him they provided medical aid but Houser did not respond. An autopsy was performed and the cause of death was determined to be self inflicted. Houser had been arrested earlier Thursday after he led police on a 6 mile chase before crashing into a tree. He was treated at the hospital and then taken to the Sullivan County Jail.
