Final Testimony Heard in William Grimes Sullivan County Murder Trial

Sullivan County, In. – The final day of witness testimony in the murder trial of William Grimes was held Tuesday in Sullivan.. Grimes is is accused of murdering 85-year-old Lowell Badger during a break in at Badgers home in December of 2012. During the final day Grimes defense called six witnesses including Indiana State Police Officers, Grimes mother, who attempted to provide an alibi for Grimes, and another suspect who is currently in jail in Knox County. This suspect denied any involvement and was angry for being called to testify. No physical evidence links Grimes to the crime scene, but several individuals testified to his alleged involvement. Richard Taft testified Monday that he was a witness and participated in Badgers Murder. Closing arguments in the trial are scheduled for today.
