Parke County, In. – Monday evening Parke County Sheriff Deputies went to a home in in rural Parke County to serve a warrant on 50-year-old Lawrence Jukes. When they arrived no one answered the door that’s when they noticed the door was barricaded with large metal rod. The Rosedale Fire Dept. was called to assist in removing the door. As the Deputies searched the house for Jukes they found a hidden door in the floor which led to a secret bunker style room underneath the house. Jukes was found in this secret room and taken into custody without incident. During the search Deputies found Methamphetamine and Methamphetamine Paraphernalia. In addition to his Probation Violation Warrant Jukes was arrested and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Paraphernalia, Possession of Marijuana. Jukes in in jail with no bond.
