Terre Haute, In. – The Vigo County Sheriff announced Wednesday that Wilson Chavez the out of town construction worker charged with the shooting death of Jaime Munoz Monday night at the Candlewood Suites Hotel is not a US. citizen and is in this country illegally. Terre Haute officials are working with the FBI and ICE during the investigation. Chavez and Jamie Munoz were both a part of an out of town construction crew and they shared a room at the hotel. Chavez is accused of shooting Munoz and dragging the body away from the door before leaving the room. Chavez is the Vigo County Jail charged with murder and being held on a US. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer.
