Parke County, In. – Parke County residents in 5 precincts went to the polls Tuesday to vote Yes or No on a referendum to raise property taxes paid to the Southwest Parke Community School Corporation. The results were 762 No and 392 Yes. The extra property tax would have been used to issue bonds or enter into a lease to finance projects up to $10 million for the construction and equipping of an auxiliary gym at Riverton Parke Junior-Senior High School.
