
Marshall, Il. – On April 25th fire fighters in Marshall, Illinois were called out to a fire in a duplex in the 100 block of Bowen Drive in Marshall. The fire started in the apartment of 68-year-old Kathleen Hardy. When the fire fighters entered her residence, they found her body. She had died of injuries suffered in the fire, including smoke inhalation. Hardy was in her home alone. She was disabled and was unable to get out of the duplex apartment by herself. Fire officials say the fire started in a back bedroom, bathroom and hallway sustained most of the damage, he said. The fire went up the ceiling and into the rafters.
