
Parke, County, In. – After a child in Parke County told school officials that she had no parent at home the school contacted the Rockville Police Department and DCS, the Department of Children Services. Upon investigating it was found that 42-year-old Ruthann Lynette Adams moved out of the house with her boyfriend in December leaving her 10-year-old, 12-year-old and 16-year-old children alone in the home. There was limited food available for the children and the oldest was recently ill but there was no one to take them to a doctor. They were basically taking care of one another. The utilities had been shut off at the home. After the investigation by the Rockville Police Department, and the Department of Children Services, a warrant was issued for Adams’ arrest. She is in the Parke County Jail charged with three Felony counts of Neglect of a Dependent.
