Edgar County, Il. – Shortly before 8:30 Saturday evening Edgar County Illinois 911 received a call about a body found lying in the road.  When deputies arrived, they found the body of 34-year-old Dakota Gibson of Paris.  He was pronounced dead at the scene by the coroner.  They believe Gibson was walking west on East 1200th Road when he was struck from behind by a vehicle which left the scene.  An autopsy is scheduled for Tuesday.  If anyone has any information about this case, please contact the Edgar County Sheriff’s Office.
