Terre Haute Man Arrested for Corrupt Racketeering

Sullivan County, In. – Beginning last June Indiana State Police Master Trooper Detective Tim Denby of the Special Investigations, Organized Crime and Corruption division of the Indiana State Police, began an investigation into a former employee of the Sullivan Automotive Group. During his investigation, it was discovered that the former part owner of The Sullivan Automative Group in Sullivan, Indiana took nearly $300,000 for self-gain from the dealership.  The accused is 57-year-old Joesph A. Mascari.  The Investigaton revealed that Macari committed numerous thefts and forgeries, extended unauthorized control, and inflated the amounts of invoices for self-gain in the amount of cash monies totaling approximately $297,000.00. Mascari was arrested Friday and booked into the Sullivan County jail with a #117,000 bond 10% allowed.
