If You Don’t Like The Weather In The Wabash Valley Wait Five Minutes

Wabash Valley – The constant rainfall Friday, Saturday and into Sunday evening resulted in the National Weather Service to issue a flood warning for all of the counties in our listening area through last night. Many county roads and several city streets were closed because of the high water.  The Indiana Department of Transportation closed I-70 due to high water for several hour Saturday.  Traffic was diverted on to US 40 at Cloverdale and back on to the interstate at Monrovia until after 4:30 Saturday afternoon.  Emergency crews were kept busy performing water rescues on Saturday when several drivers thought they could make it through water over several roads and then became stranded.  As we begin the new week colder temperatures are moving in with Frost warnings issued for Tuesday night and a chance of snow showers on Wednesday.
