STATEWIDE — Temperatures are about to warm up, and the weather will be mostly quiet in Indiana.
“By Tuesday, all of Central Indiana should be in the low to mid 50’s, and then, by Wednesday, the southern half of Indiana could be in the low 60’s,” says Meteorologist Greg Melo with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis. “While here near Indy, we’ll be likely in the upper 50’s, even close to 60.”
Melo says some parts of the state could reach the 60-degree mark, so meteorologists will be watching for that.
“However, for Monday night, we have a chance for some light rain, mainly north of I-70. It will also be breezy with wind gusts up to 30 miles per hour,” Melo says.
Melo says precipitation is possible later in the week.
“By mid-week, we have a better chance for more precipitation on Wednesday, possibly heading into Wednesday night. That rain will probably be light as well, likely less than half of an inch,” Melo says.
Melo says chances of rain for Monday are mainly across the northern half of the state, and the southern half should be relatively dry. However, for Wednesday, he thinks it will be more widespread.
