Vigo County, In. – Fire crews were dispatched to garage fire near Oregon Church Road and U.S. 41 just after 10am Saturday.  The homeowner had discovered the fire and called the Pierson Fire Department.  When the fire crews arrived, they found a detached garage on fire.  Additional tankers had to be called in to fight the fire which was contained in under an hour. The garage is still standing but the contents were a total loss.  No one was injured.  The Pierson Fire Department was assisted by the Honey Creek Fire Department, the Thunderbird Fire, the Riley Fire Department and the Indiana State Police.
