Terre Haute, In. – The Terre Haute Police Department has receives several reports of counterfeit bills being passed in the city.  City detectives are investigating and they want to warn local businesses to be on the lookout for bogus bill when accepting cash payments.  Cashiers should always be cautious of large bills and to remember to check the security measures designed in the bills such as watermarks, color-shifting ink, and security threads. Becoming familiar with these features can help detect fake bills. If you receive a fake bill contact the police immediately.
