Indianapolis, In. – Tuesday Indiana Lawmakers heard testimony on Governor Brauns Property Tax bill.  Home owners would have an option of a 60% homestead reduction or revision to their 2021 tax bill. The bill would also put a 2% cap on property tax yearly. Many people welcome the change to curb skyrocketing property tax.  However some Indiana mayors are not happy including Terre Haute Mayor Sakbun.  He says cutting property taxes could impact essential services. Gov. Braun said, his plan will put an emphasis on finding a proper balance between tax relief and funding local governments.
