Terre Haute, In. – In a live interview on WAWV-TV Terre Haute Mayor Brandon Sakbun says the city has plans to clean up the site of the former Columbian Enameling plant on the corner of 19th and Beech streets. demolition of the plant began in December 2021, but the proper permits were not obtained, the work was left unfinished and the area became a giant eyesore.  The mayor says the city has now obtained the money to clean up the property. He went on to say he’d love to see the city acquire the property and turn it into a retail or housing area. Soon there will be a website with information about the project and ask questions.
