Parke County, In, – Parke County officials will be closing the Bridgeton Road again this year during the Covered Bridge Festival to protect pedestrians. The road will close Friday morning when the festival begins and will stay closed for the 10 days of the festival. The closure includes intersections leading to the road. There will be patrol officer at each intersection directing traffic to parking areas. The State Police and the Parke County Sheriff believe the road closure is a good thing and will help protect pedestrians.
