Terre Haute, In. – Early Tuesday afternoon Terre Haute Police officers responded to reports of a shot fired in the 400 block of North 42nd Street.  When the officers arrived, they learned that the suspect and the victim had been in an argument when the suspect discharged a handgun.  The suspect has been staying on the property for several days without the owner’s consent while the owner was absent. When the officers attempted to make contact with the suspect, they did not get any response.  Thinking he had withdrawn into a large, wooded area the Special Response Team and negotiators were called in.  Shortly after, the suspect was taken into custody.
