Former THPD Officer Makes Plea Agreement In DUI Case

Terre Haute, In. –  A former Terre Haute Police Officer was in court yesterday for a plea agreement hearing.  Jeffrey Pupilli was a 9-year veteran of the police force before resigning after being arrested in May of last year for operating a vehicle while intoxicated.  After a Dept. Lieutenant noticed the smell of alcohol and Pupilli had blood shot and watery eyes, his patrol car tracking software showed he had reached speeds of 93 mph on State Road 63 and Pennington Road. In the plea agreement Monday Pupilli pleaded guilty to Public Intoxication, a Class B misdemeanor. Under the terms of the agreement, Pupilli will serve 90 days probation. According to the plea agreement, he is participating in individual therapy and working with a peer recovery coach at the Wabash Valley Recovery Center.
