Terre Haute, In. – Terre Haute Police officers stopped a vehicle near 3rd street and Second Ave. Thursday evening. After the stop both the driver and passenger fled the scene on foot. Police spread out and formed a perimeter while searching for the suspects. K9 officer Vader was called in and he tracked the driver, 33-year-old Christopher M. Brown, to a backyard several blocks away. Vader then located the passenger, 31-year-old Stephanie C. Nix, several blocks away hiding near an apartment complex. Brown was arrested and charged with auto theft, driving while suspended and resisting law enforcement. Nix was arrested and charged with criminal trespass and resisting law enforcement.
