BRAZIL, Indiana (DLC Media) – In a press release over the weekend owner and operator of DLC Media Dave Crooks announced that he is selling all 6 of his radio stations in both Indiana and Illinois.

Crooks will be retiring from the business. Since 1980 Crooks has worked in the radio, beginning his career in Sullivan as a disc jockey at WNDI. Crooks would go on to buy three stations in 2017, WVIG, WAMB, and WFNB, which will all be sold together.

In the release, Crooks said “I am ready to slow down and knock more items off my bucket list. It’s been a great ride.”

The stations will be split in half and sold to two companies. 3 Towers Broadcasting will purchase WAXI and WAKO along with their time brokerage agreement with WFML out of Vincennes University. JKO Media is buying the remaining three stations. Joey and Kelsey O’Rourke will take over 92.7 The Rock, 105.5 The Legend, and both the AM and FM WAMB Breeze stations.

The sales are pending as the 3 Towers sale has been filed with the Federal Communications Commission. It is speculated that the transfer could be completed as soon as May 1.
