
TERRE HAUTE — On March 13 at 1:59 a.m, Terre Haute Police Department Uniform Officers responded to a residence in the Margaret Housing Complex for the report of a Domestic Battery and the suspect returning to the residence and destroying property.
Upon arrival, officers determined that Jonathan Adam Cox, 43, of Terre Haute had battered a family member, damaged property and fled on foot prior to their arrival. Cox was found to have four active warrants for several charges which included; Felony Intimidation, Domestic Battery, Escape from Lawful Detention, Possession of Marijuana and Resisting Law Enforcement.
A THPD K9 Unit arrived on scene and conducted a track for Cox. The track led in to a nearby wooded area, north of the complex, where Cox was located hiding. Cox surrendered as the K9 unit approached and was taken in to custody without incident.
