INDIANAPOLIS — Patrons in the Cumberland Culver’s restaurant were startled when they heard a gunshot in the restaurant Saturday afternoon.

Cumberland Police told reporters that witnesses said a woman sat down at a table, reached into her purse, and pulled the trigger on a gun in there.

The woman told onlookers she “popped a balloon” before running out of the restaurant. The Culver’s is  located on Indianapolis’ east side.

The bullet hit the wall and the casing was recovered. There were no injuries reported.

Police continue looking for the woman.
