Water rescue in Vigo Co.

NEW GOSHEN —  Two people had to be rescued after they drove into high water on Pottsville Street around 12:30 p.m. Friday, said New Goshen Fire Chief Terry Meadlo.

The road had flooded to a depth of about 3 1/2 feet. It is adjacent to the Wabash River.

Sugar Creek Rescue responded.

The people declined medical treatment.
