BRAZIL-Brady Scott, Superintendent of Schools, Covington, Indiana, is Clay Community Schools new Assistant Superintendent.
He was unanimously affirmed by the seven members of the school board during the regular meeting on Thursday night in the School Corporation office.
Superintendent Jeff Fritz said Mr. Scott “will be a great asset to Clay Community Schools.” Amy Burke Adams was on the team that interviewed Mr. Scott. “I am very pleased,” she said. School Board President Tom Reberger said he is “very confident” in Mr. Scott’s future contribution to the school corporation.
In other business:
* Approval was given to the school corporation joining the Indiana Department of Education’s “Too Small to Fail” campaign.
* Northview High School’s request for a scoreboard for the softball field was approved.
* HEA 1003 was approved for Clay Community Schools to give the corporation flexibility for professional days and for student snow days.
The next meeting of the Clay Community Schools is set for April 13th at 7 p.m.
