COLES COUNTY, Ill. – A former coach who admitted to sexually assaulting his players has now changed his mind.

Barry Wolfe pleaded guilty to sexual assault and abuse and was sentenced to 60 years in prison.

On August 17th, the court received a letter from Wolfe saying he wanted to rescind his guilty plea.

After that Wolfe’s attorney asked to be removed from the case.

Now Wolfe and his court appointed attorney have until December 28th to file any amended pleadings then the state will respond.

Another hearing is set for January 3rd.
