
VIGO COUNTY, Ind – Vigo County Deputies are continuing their investigation into a Monday morning armed robbery.
Two subjects, described by the clerk as black males in their early 20’s entered the Phillips 66 gas station at Lafayette and Park Avenue and one of the criminals put a gun in the back of the clerk, and told him to come to the register.
The suspects then took an undetermined amount of cash.
They also asked about the clerk opening the safe. When the clerk said that he couldn’t, the suspects took multiple cartons and packs of cigarettes and fled on foot.
Both suspects are believed to range in height from 5’09” to 6’00” tall. One suspect wore a dark hooded long sleeve shirt with dark pants and white Nike tennis shoes. The second suspect wore a blue hooded sweatshirt with grey pants and black tennis shoes. The second suspect displayed the handgun and wore a black painter’s mask over his face.
