TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTHI) – Police are investigating a shooting that happened around 9 a.m. Friday morning near North 6 ½ Street and 3rd Avenue.

Police say that the male shooting victim was found near the ISU/IU Landsbaum Center for Health Education.

He was taken to a local hospital and transferred to a hospital out of town to be treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect was described as a black male wearing a red shirt, driving a green F-150 pickup truck.
