CLAY COUNTY, Ind. – The investigation into a Clay County attempted robbery continues and police say that they are currently investigating new leads.
An attendant at the Speedway at I-70 and SR59 said that a black male entered the store last Friday with a handgun demanding cash.
When the employee hit the panic button, the man reportedly left.
Heavy coverage by media and on Facebook across the two state area has led to at least two Illinois police agencies to contact Clay County authorities.
Illinois authorities think that they same men who tried to rob the Clay County store may have been responsible for robberies their areas.
Police are still searching for the suspects which they think may live in the St Louis area.
