SULLIVAN COUNTY, Ind. – A former correctional officer at the Wabash Valley Correctional Facility in Sullivan County has been arrested on charges of trafficking with an inmate.

Officials say that in an interview, Nathaniel Tryon confessed to trafficking tobacco with an offender on more than one occasion.

Authorities say that a search of his car turned up marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and about half a pound of loose tobacco wrapped in plastic.

Tryon is being held in the Sullivan County Jail.
