VIGO COUNTY, Ind. – The Vigo County Health Department reports that two samples of mosquitoes have tested positive for West Nile Virus in Vigo County.

The positive test results were reported to local officials by the Indiana State Department of Health.

Officials urge people to protect themselves and their families when outdoors with insect repellent that contains DEET and to remove any standing water from their property.
