Terre Haute, In. – Terre Haute is officially taking its first steps toward creating designated outdoor spaces for public drinking next month. The Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce announced that the state has approved the city’s two Designated Outdoor Refreshment Areas, also known as DORAs. Starting September seventeenth, patrons will be allowed to carry alcoholic beverages in special cups between participating downtown businesses. Local business owners who wish to participate must officially opt into the program before the mid-September launch.
