
Parke County, In. – Monday Park County Sheriff deputies were advised that the Indiana State Police were in pursuit of a vehicle heading east on US 36 in Parke County. Deputies were able to get in position to set up Stop Sticks near Cook Road on US 36. The Stop Sticks were successful causing a front tire on the vehicle to blow out. The driver continued on, running on the rim, for a short while until he pulled into the NAPA parking lot and took off on foot while the car was still in motion. The Indiana State Police and Parke County Deputies were able to apprehend the driver who was identified as 41-year-old-David J. Hopkins of Danville, Il. He was booked into the Parke County jail charged with reckless driving, felony resisting law enforcement and misdemeanor resisting law enforcement.
