INDIANAPOLIS – Josef Newgarden won today’s Greatest Spectacle in Racing, heard right here on WAXI and WAMB.

There were three crashes near the end of the ‘500’. After the last red flag was replaced by green, Marcus Ericsson was unable to be the sixth driver to win back-to-back 500s.

He tried to use the same strategy in the last lap that he used last year but Newgarden was able to pass Ericsson on the last lap to win the 107th Indianapolis 500.
