Protecting youth is goal of program in town park

WASHINGTON — Pinwheels for Prevention is a program that will “recognize the role of the community in protecting Indiana’s most vulnerable youth,” according to information from the Washington Police Department.

The celebration sponsored by Indiana Department of Child Serviced, Prevent Child Abuse Indiana and the Kids First Trust Fund will offer free food, face painting, K-9 presentations, giveaways of bicycles and other items.

The celebration will be on Friday, April 21st, 4-7 p.m. at East Side Park in Washington, rain or shine.
