Vigo School Corporation To Hold First Public Meeting On School Buildings Tonight

VIGO COUNTY , Ind – This evening the Vigo County School Corporation will hold its first of eight public meetings to gather public input how to address concerns with school buildings.

Specifically, they will discuss the three county high schools.

Superintendent Rob Haworth also says that this is the beginning of a year-long discussion to address the needs of the facilities and their deficiencies that area adversely impacting the education of students.

 

 

 

 

 

This begins a year long discussion 

 

Haworth said that there are many variables when it comes to funding such a large undertaking. He said that there could be federal dollars from various programs that might become available but there will likely be restrictions on how and on what those dollars can be spent on.  Those requirements are not yet known.

Each session is 6:30-7:30 and will include a presentation, Q&A session, and most importantly a public comment session on what residents do and don’t want in a potential high school project.

Tonight’s meeting will be at Lost Creek Elementary School.

 

 

 

VCSC High School Meetings

The presentation portion of the meeting will be live streamed on the corporations YouTube page.

There are plans to provide a virtual option for feedback in the future.
