Stand-off With Police Comes To An End

TERRE HAUTE, Ind – The standoff with Terre Haute Police at a local fast food restaurant has come to an end.

Terre Haute Police and their special response team were called to the KFC at Lafayette and FT Harrison roads a little after 10:00 a.m. this (Monday 1/14/20) morning.

Police say that a person was alone in the restaurant and would not come out. They believed that the person was armed with a pair of scissors.

It is believed that person was an employee but police have not confirmed that.

A little after 1:00 p.m. this afternoon officers entered the building to find the suspect unresponsive.

That person was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police are continuing to investigate but have not released other details.
