Indiana State Police To Hold Shooter Event Training

Putnam County, IN- Indiana State Police say that preparing yourself and your family for the unthinkable is something that should not be taken lightly in today’s environment. Information learned to keep you safe is invaluable in the time of a life and death situation.

That is why Wednesday evening,(3/21/18) Putnam County Sheriff Scott Stockton is sponsoring an Indiana State Police presentation on Unarmed Response to Active Shooter Events.  Dr. Richard Hogue will conduct the program which will also be attended by Indiana State Police Superintendent Doug Carter.

The two hour event, which is opened to the public, will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Greencastle High School, 910 East Washington Street, Greencastle, IN 46135.

The program will discuss several training aids to assist schools, businesses, and other organizations in preparing to respond to the unpredictable possibility of an active shooter event and how to respond in the unlikely event an active shooter is in your vicinity.
