In our area Vermillion County has the highest rate at 5.6% which is also the highest in the state.
Counties in the Wabash Valley also hold positions 7 or the top 20 position:
Sullivan County 5%
- Owen County 4.9%
- Greene County 4.7%
- Vigo County 4.7%
- Parke County 4.2%
- Clay County 4.1%
- Putnam County 3.8%
The lowest unemployment in the state is in LaGrange County with 2.6%.
The state unemployment rate is 3.6%.
