Truck Slams Into Parke County Buggy

PARKE COUNTY, Ind. – A vehicle collided with a horse and buggy just after noon Tuesday in Parke County.

Police say that it happened on U.S. 41 in front of the Parke County Fairgrounds when a pickup truck ran slammed into the back of the buggy.

Police also reported the driver of the truck 68-year-old Gregory Willhite of Wingate, Ind was following too closely to the buggy and reportedly took his eyes off the road.

The driver of the buggy 19-year-old Lydia Stoltzfus of Marshall, and Willhite suffered minor injuries, while the horse had to be euthanized by a veterinarian.
