Terre Haute Man Sentenced For Impersonating Officer

VIGO COUNTY, Ind – A Terre Haute man was sentenced in Vigo County court Monday for impersonating a police officer.

58-year-old Steve Ferree was sentenced to 180 days home detention and was placed on probation for one year as part of an 18-month sentence.

Ferree will first be evaluated to see if he is eligible for placement in the home detention program through Vigo County Community Corrections.

Ferree was convicted in a jury trial on August 8th.

He still faces 11 charges including theft and fraud in another case from October 2017 where he is accused of using another mans debit card without permission.
