VIGO COUNTY, Ind – The Vigo County Sheriff’s Office has received reports of computer ransomware attacks in the area.

Deputies remind you back up your computer data onto an external media often so your information is protected against these attacks and should it occur you are not forced to pay the ransom.

You should consult with computer experts on proper anti-virus and anti-ramsonware software, paying a ransom does not guarantee your computer will be unlocked.
