Project To Improve Water System In Clinton Begins Today

CLINTON, Ind. – The city of Clinton has been awarded a Small Cities and Towns Community Development Block Grant that will mean a big improvement for the towns water system.
Work is set to begin today (Monday 7-23-18) on the water project that will to repair, replace or install water mains, pipes and hydrants across the city.
The goal of the $600,000 project is to reduce water main breaks and subsequent boil orders.
Shut-off valves will be installed across the city so if there is an issue service will not be shut-off to the entire city.
The city was is contributing close to $160,000 as their share of the project.
The work should be completed by October.
