Main Street Rockville will offer its Cruise-In Antique and Classic Car Show and Street Dance on Saturday, June 1, on the courthouse square in friendly downtown Rockville. Rain Date: Saturday, June 8th
Once again, the Cruise-In will feature a motorcycle, scooter and bike show.
This marks the 28th year of the Cruise-In and Street Dance and the 22st year for the motorcycle, scooter and bike show.
The Cruise-In will start at about 3:00 p.m. Cars and trucks will enter from the southeast side of the square at the corner of High and Jefferson streets.
Motorcycles, scooters and bikes will enter at the same spot and will be staged this year on the middle of High Street adjacent to the courthouse.
Dash plaques will again be provided to the first 125 cars to enter the Cruise-In. People’s Choice Awards will be given to the vehicle, and motorcycle, scooter or bike garnering the most votes from participants.
Dancing will kick off at about 5 pm on Jefferson Street featuring Tequila Mockingbyrd!
MainStreet Rockville will provide concessions on the square & Boy Scout Ice Cream. Restaurants on the square will be open for business. Nearby restaurants include the Thirty-Six Saloon and Amore Pizza King. Bakery-fresh sandwiches, crisp salads and a full espresso bar with hot or iced coffee can be found at Wheel House Donuts.
People’s Choice Awards will be presented at about 8:00 pm.
